Chi oggi ha 25, 30 o anche 40 anni non può aver dimenticato la disco degli anni ’90. Di certo non l’hanno dimenticata i Bastille che nel loro ultimissimo singolo, “Of the night” (dopo il grande successo di “Pompei”), ci presentano un vero e proprio tributo all’Italia e alla disco-music nostrana di circa vent’anni fa. Il brano è un apprezzabile mash up tra “Rhythm is a Dancer” (Snap!) e la celebre “The Rhythm of the Night” di Corona…

“Of the night”
Il video che accompagna il singolo “citazionista” dei Bastille (“Of the night”, ndr) si mostra in una forma fortemente dark e dal sapore cinematografico: è stato girato a Los Angeles dal regista Dave Ma (Foals, Ghostpoet, Delphic) e vede come protagonista l’attore – e fan della stessa band – James Russo (Django Unchained, Donnie Brasco, Once Upon A Time in America)…
“Of the night” anticipa l’uscita di “All this bad blood”, album che sarà nei negozi dal prossimo 26 novembre: conterrà due cd, il disco “Bad Blood” e un secondo diviso in due parti. La prima parte con tracce vecchie e nuove che la band ha registrato negli ultimi anni, la seconda, “Other People’s Heartache”, che invece raccoglierà una selezione delle tracce dei 2 mixtape della band, “Other Peoples Heartache Parts 1 and 2”, oltre a due tracce inedite registrate nelle ultime settimane.
